The idea

White develops the bishop to an active pin outside the normal Queen’s Gambit move order, aiming for quick, aggressive development against Black’s center. It’s a sharper, less theoretical alternative to the main Queen’s Pawn systems that keeps the option open to transpose into a Trompowsky-style setup or a more classical buildup depending on Black’s reply.
