The idea
Black grabs the offered c-pawn, but it’s rarely a real sacrifice: White regularly wins it back within a few moves while keeping a lead in development and central influence, which is exactly why the QGA has a reputation as fine, solid, but rarely dangerous for the side doing the accepting.
