The idea
Black offers a pawn on move two to seize kingside space and open lines toward White’s king immediately - a much riskier mirror of the King’s Gambit that most modern theory and engine analysis consider dubious for Black. The appeal is entirely in the sharp, unfamiliar positions it produces against an opponent who hasn’t studied the resulting tactics.
