The idea

White’s first move commits to almost nothing central or developmental, aiming instead at a later g4 pawn storm or simply testing whether Black knows how to punish an unusual opening move. It’s a rare, largely untheoretical try with essentially no independent strategic identity beyond the surprise value of an opponent facing it unprepared.
